The principles of collaboration, respect, member-driven priorities, and continuous improvement are the foundation of IUC’s Collaborative Initiatives.
IUC Collaborative Initiatives brings together leaders from across our member institutions, fostering meaningful cooperation. IUC is committed to respecting the unique needs and requirements of each institution, ensuring our initiatives are adaptable and beneficial for all.
Through committee meetings and surveys, member ideas are gathered, prioritized, and thoroughly vetted by our dedicated Collaborative Initiatives work group, giving a voice to all stakeholders. IUC staff provide regular written updates and actively encourage new, innovative ideas to drive progress.
The IUC Collaborative Initiatives (CI) Work Group was established in September 2024 to bring together key leaders from IT, HR, Purchasing, and Finance across all IUC member institutions. This group reports directly to the IUC Business and Finance Officers (BFO) Committee, ensuring alignment and strategic oversight.
The CI Work Group held its inaugural meeting on September 6, 2024, setting the stage for the collaborative journey and defining initial priorities and the operational framework. Since its inception, the CI Work Group has held dedicated monthly meetings to guide the collaborative endeavors, review progress, and ensure transparent updates are shared with the IUC President & CEO and the IUC BFO Committee. This sustained momentum has been crucial for driving the collaborative initiatives forward.
